November 14, 2011 By admin

With the launch of the first nationwide electric car networksin Israel and Denmark just months away, Better Place yesterday announced that it has secured $200 million through a Series C equity financing.

Is there a future for Better Place in Israel? The Better Place will market the first electric cars in Israel at about NIS 120,000 for car and about NIS 1,000 in monthly subscription plan for re-charging batteries. Shalom Israel Photo Exhibition Began at NCKU

October 5, 2010 By admin

The Shalom Israel Photo Exhibition, held from September 30th till October 17th, began at Art Center, Kuang-Fu Campus, National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), Tainan, Taiwan, offering traditional cuisines and snacks and dance performance for the visitors to appreciate the beauty and mystery of Israel and witness the great history behind Israel.

NCKU Art Center expressed, “Situated in Middle East, Israel covers two-thirds of Taiwan and its population is only six or seven millions. It’s a miracle in the human history that a race which scattered around the world for nearly two thousand years can continue to maintain their language and culture. Since its founding for more than sixty years, the economic, the academic and technological achievements of Israel have been impressive. Through photos, it’s very meaningful that we bring the true face of Israel to NCKU campus.”

The Shalom Israel Photo Exhibition is showing nearly 50 photos, including Israel female soldiers, brothers’ prayer before the Wailing Wall, soldiers’ declaration before the Wailing Wall, father and son before the Wailing Wall, Islamic plaza, gun hole on the Zion Gate, and dazzling items of the street vendors, taken by various photographers in Israel.

The six photographers are not artists but they have captured the real images of people, culture, monuments and architectures in Israel, allowing the visitors to observe the beauty and explore the mystery of Israel.

In addition to the photo exhibition, NCKU Art Center has invited a dance group to put on dance performances, including Hava Nagila and Shalom Shalom Jerusalem, and offered cuisines and snacks, including Israel fruit cookies, orange cakes, banana cakes, and potato babka which are highly praised by the visitors.
